A modified version of SBI's pPACK-SPIKE kit: the new pPACK-SPIKE D614G, SARS-CoV-2 “S” Pseudotype – D614G Mutant – Lentivector Packaging Mix. This is an expansion of their recently released pPACK-SPIKE technology, which can be used to produce SARS-CoV-2 “S” pseudotyped lentiviral particles. In this case, SBI modified the coding sequence for the “Spike” envelope protein to have the D614G mutation. This mutation has been characterized as having increasing prevalence around the world, with preliminary papers showing this mutant Spike enabling higher infectivity, at least in the lab. Researchers can study SARS-CoV-2 D614G Spike protein mutant with this system for generating high titers of D614G Spike protein pseudotyped lentivirus particles. Additional features and benefits include:
