Sheep anti cyclic GMP antibody recognizes cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) a secong messenger molecule similar to cAMP. cGMP is synthesized from GTP under the influence of soluble guanylate synthase. cGMP then activates protein kinases to mediate cellular processes including vasodilation or transcription factor activation.
