Rabbit anti MEK 1/2 (pSer218/pSer222) antibody recognizes MAPK/ERK kinase 1 (MEK 1) and MAPK/ERK kinase 2 (MEK 1), also known as MAP kinase kinase 1 (MAPKK 1) and MAP kinase kinase 2 (MAPKK 2) respectively, when phosphorylated at serine 218 and 222.MEK1 and 2 are related dual specificity protein kinases from the MAP kinase family. These proteins are activated by phosphoryation at serine 218 and 222, and play a critical role in mitogen growth factor signal transduction.
