Rabbit anti PTK2B (pTyr402) antibody recognizes protein-tyrosine kinase 2-beta, also known as CADTK, CAKB, FADK 2, PYK2, when phosphorylated at tyrosine 402. It is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that regulates cell migration and mediates transfer of signals from the cell surface to the cytoskeleton (
Duong et al. 2001,
Avraham et al. 2000). Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) and bradykinin induce tyrosine phosphorylation of PTK2B (
Dikic et al. 1996). Phosphorylation of PTK2B on tyrosine 402 is important for binding with SH2 domain of SRC (Dikic et al. 1996). In Jurkat T cells, tyrosine 402 is involved in interleukin-2 production (
Katagiri et al. 2000).
