It stimulates division and differentiation of sympathetic and embryonic sensory neurons. (www.uniprot.org) Produced in submaxillary gland of grown mouse. Homodimer, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 2 x 120 amino acids. The ED50 (cell proliferation assay) is typically 0.3 - 1 ng/ml.
